I really hate to only seem to post to this when I have bad news, but its much easier for me to put it here, than tell everyone individually.

My cockatiel, Toby, is no longer with us.

She was raised from an egg by hand, and had never been outside. Late this afternoon she unfortunately got outside, and flew off, disoriented and scared. I looked for her (with others) for the better part of an hour and a half, to no avail. I saw her once, but she flew away from me, the last thing I saw of her was her flying easily level with the top of a telephone pole, she was confused and scared. With the cold weather, there's no question she's already passed.

It's a shame, and sad, but there's no one to blame, and its out of our hands. I just miss her.

I've had a lot on my mind lately, stuff that I haven't really felt like talking about until recently. I'm feeling okay enough about it now, I guess. Or maybe i've just let it go enough. But regardless.

If you didn't know, for practically all of April, I was down in bed with the mono mono. I'm thankfully recovered from that. However, this left me with a load of work to do, which i'm working through now. Got until June 16th to finish my semester's worth of work. Score.

After a lot of rough points, my fiance' admitted that she's been thinking of me as just a friend for a while now, and doesn't have the time now at the end of the semester to care about anyone, much less a guy in Virginia whilst she's working up at UMass so... i'm officially single. That happened on the first of the month, so that explains why I might have seem distant, or emo. I think i'm alloted that after a 5 year relationship i've put my entire being into ends though. Things happen.

On the gaming front, i'm definitely getting a Wii, after seeing the promo for SSB:Brawl. Not to mention the other goodness planned. I'm waiting for Starfox DS and Phoenix Wright 2. Tomorrow comes the New Super Mario Bros, i'm hoping that's worth the investment i'm going to put into it. I've been playing Gunz:The Duel religiously, and it's quite fun. Think of it as John Woo, the video game. Pistols, revolvers, rifles, shotguns, rocket launchers, hand grenades, knifes, and swords, in a 3rd person deathmatch game with wall runs, jumps, and stylistic dodges that scream bullet time. It's very fun. If you hop on, give a look out for LucienDemoor, my main character, and our clan, the Kobra_Kai. No Mercy! :3 Also, been playing some more AC:WW, and figured i'd post this little thing:

Not dead, I just have a bad case of mono. Ugh... ;_; Sore, sick, and blah.

Trying to get my rest. Been feeling a bit lonely lately, but that's what the end of term workload does for a lot of people. Got more than a few things to worry about, but i'm coping. Here's just hoping I feel better soon. Oog.

I'm thinking I should use my MT Yakpak bag as a personal inventory of sorts, since it's outlived its usefulness as a school bag. But what would a fox need in his daily life? Well, i've been pondering that as well, and tried to think up a few things I should stick in there:

Index cards and pens, for quick information giving
A notebook, for interesting thoughts/quotes/other tidbits i'd like to remember
A supply of quarters, they're always useful
A perhaps 18 inch or so length of balsa wood, adorned with the phrase 'CLUE by FOUR', for lightly beating down vlagrant acts of stupidity
Tape, small stapler, and glue, for those quick fixes
A small towel, this needs no explination

More ponderings on my equipment to come, probably

Time for this week's installment of Random Thought Theatre. I'm going to jot down the threads of my psyche, so you all can feel better for being more sane than I.

After watching this week's YHBT fake Bleach episode, I have a re-found interest in Rube Goldberg machines. Maybe I should buy some dominoes, or daresay try to hunt down my Domino Alley set.

I got a chance to play an imported copy of Bleach DS Monday night... it was horribly addicting. I may have to aquire it.

Still itching to get RE:DS, but the game in my sights is KH2, I await it with baited breath.

My grandmother is at this very moment having hip surgery. I'm more than a little worried.

Lillian is also having her own emotional struggles, and i'm trying to be supportive, but there's nothing I can do to help; that hurts in itself.

Going to see Stay Alive this Saturday. Here's hoping for a nice B movie.

Tonight's a lecture on Cryptography i've been waiting all semester for. Unfortunately because of the happenstance today this will entail me another commute back to campus. D'ah well.

Gas is expensive. Wasn't there news stories on the increase when it hit two dollars a gallon? Now it's 2:35 if you're lucky, and no one bats an eye. Odd thing that capitalism.

Again, i'm reminded of Wikipedia's current stand as the source of all knowledge. If it became self aware enough, to edit itself, we would have either a) a huge revolution in knowledge storage b) doomed humanity or c) gotten a premise for a decent summer blockbuster. Couldn't be worse than I Robot.

26 MORE weeks of filler for Naruto makes Fox... something something.

Once it gets more seasonable weather, i'm going to probably start roller blading again. Woo.

My campaign's on hiatus now since no one's got the time to play it seems. I've got an idea of how to use this time to get some work done.

I should really be going to class right now, but i'm too worried, going to call the hospital for updates.
